Summer Pike Fishing On The Norfolk Broads – Review

So Summers just about over and were all now hoping for a fantastic Indian Summer to follow, apparently the Daily Mirror has forecast this with temps into the low thirty’s this month! – have to say it looks a bit unlikely after these last few days but who knows.

Anyway up on the Broads the boat traffic has slowed down dramatically as usual after the children go back to school and its a lot less stressful than the last 3 months have been. The rivers are starting to cool now and we are now both bait and lure fishing depending on the weather and venue.

Summer has been a mixed bag with the weather but the fishing overall has been pretty steady with some big hauls and quite a few specimens all safely returned to fight another day. It’s been great to see so many new clients up this season along with lots of existing clients as well making it very busy for both myself and Tony. I think all the various systems we fish have been consistent with there sport and size of fish, personally it was nice to spend a bit more time back on the River Yare and that certainly fished well. Congratulations on new PB’s to a fair few of you already this season and I think everyone has been more than impressed with the way these Pike fight at this time of the year. Many of you have also commented on just how much care we put into the handling and safe return of these fabulous fish during this time of the season – always nice to hear such nice feedback.

Were almost fully booked for the rest of September now and heavily booked for the remainder of Autumn, few dates left but they are disappearing fast so if you fancy a trip this side of Winter then don’t leave your booking to long!

Few pics below of some of our Summer catches, many thanks & well done to all of you for coming up and fishing with us its really appreciated as always and hopefully we’ll see you all again soon.
